Brittle nails affect the beauty of the hands. They become a problem when we want to have a perfect manicure.
Typically, nail fragility manifests as a result of deficiency of nutrients, exposure to detergents or disease. Although not always directly affect human health, it can become a serious problem because it violates the normal growth of nails and making them look unsightly.
The good news is that there are different procedures to treat brittle nails and regain their strength. Today we will share some natural solutions for those of you who do not want to invest a lot of money on products that are available in regular stores for beauty care.
1) Castor oil and vitamin E
Castor oil contains essential fatty acids that moisturize and protect the nails. When combined with vitamin E you get a fortifying treatment that will leave them looking brighter than every.
– 1 tablespoon of castor oil (10 g)
– 4 drops of vitamin E
Mix the vitamin E into the castor oil and apply it to the nails using a small brush. Repeat this procedure every day.
2) Chamomile and mint
The combination of mint and chamomile is a healthy way to protect your nails from aggressive environmental agents.
– 1 tablespoon of chamomile (10 g)
– 2 mint leaves
– 1 cup of water (250 ml)
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil (10 g)
– 1 tablespoons of wheat flour (10 g)
Boil the water and add the chamomile and mint leaves. Let this mixture steep for 30 minutes. Then add the olive oil and wheat flour.
Pour the liquid into a jar and rub it on the nails and cuticles. Leave it on for half an hour before rinsing with lukewarm water.
3) Baking soda
Product that is extremely efficient when we want to combat brittle nails. Baking soda is characterized with antibacterial properties which can overcome the fungi and prevent breaking.
– 1 tablespoon baking soda (10 g).
– 1 cup of water (250 ml).
In a small bowl mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a cup of warm water. Lightly soak the nails into the resulting mixture for 15 minutes. Repeat this process 3 times a week.
4) Olive oil and lemon
The essential fatty acids and antioxidants found in olive oil are excellent nutrients for improving the structure of your nails.
– 1/4 cup of olive oil (50 g)
– 8 drops of lemon juice
Mix the lemon juice with the olive oil in a small bowl, and soak the tips of your fingers in it for 15 minutes. Store this mixture in the fridge and repeat the treatment every day.
